Optus Telecom, Australia’s second largest mobile service provider, have announced the availability of a new service to their customers including un-metered streaming of the following music services: iHeartRadio, Google Play Music, Guvera, Spotify and Pandora. Also available to it’s customers will be discounted music products at participating stores and concert tickets for events.
From May 2, the service will give customers on My Prepaid Ultimate and My Prepaid Daily Plus mobile plans unmetered access to a number of music streaming apps including Spotify, Pandora, Google Play Music, iHeartRadio and Guvera. While the data-free streaming is the jewel in the crown, Optus Music will also offer other value-adds like access to “over 20 live music events each year,” including gigs, events and meet-and-greets, thanks to Optus partnerships with Universal Music and iHeartRadio Australia.
